How to Install iproute2 software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

iproute2 software package provides networking and traffic control tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install iproute2

iproute2 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the iproute2 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep iproute2 *

You will get with iproute2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
